Once the order of appearence had been decided, we shot the rough spreads in our folder with a digital camera.

Printing these out as A4 copies provided a visual of the book against which we were able to write the picture captions.

We also made a PDF-file version of the spreads, which could be emailed back and forth for corrections.

In August 2002, the finished layout was supplied to the publisher with three CD-ROMs containing high-resolution photos and a text file containing the introduction and captions.
