Piccadilly CircusIt's 7.30am and it's like Piccadilly Circus outside on the Crescent as the 4x4 brigade home-in on the school, kids bedecked in England colours ready for this morning's World cup match with Nigeria. Daisy was complaining about Hannah going to school early to watch the match on a big screen. "We only got to see the Queen mother's funeral. It's not fair" she said.
I told her that in my day it was the moon landing, and then had to go through the usual explanation about how amazing the Apollo moonlanding was. So today, instead of being gripped by the truly amazing heroics of Neil Armstrong walking on the surface of the moon, we watch David Beckham running round a footy-field with a funny hairstyle.
That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind - Nuff said!

Internet WeekendClare and I spent most of Saturday on the internet, as is the way in a networked household. She did get a bit frustrated surfing on the iMac though, with it's nasty habit of bombing spectacularly everytime it encountered a clunky bit of Javascript. I managed to get quite a few page updates done on Dreamtargets and generally tidied up the home page.
I also posted a few rare comics on eBay in order to fund my computer museum (or should that be graveyard?). Lately I have been watching those vintage Action Man pages too, which is a very bad sign...
