Daft lads On AirWell they let us loose, live on BBC local radio, me and Riff. We sat there in the studio with our headphones on and just let all that 80's stuff pour out. It was great fun. Our fifteen minutes worth, until the next time. It was funny when we were asked about the new romantic attire. I had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a big white shirt with winged collar, cookie trousers and boating shoes.
Riff said that it would 'look great on radio'.
;-)
After the radio interview we were introduced to the BBC Nottingham web team who want to build a mini gallery around a few of our pics. I told them that I'd been working on a 'how we produced the book' feature, and they said they'd be interested in taking some of that material from me in order to build it into the BBC website.
After the BBC, we went to Pitcher and Piano the converted church in the Lace Market. Alot of the shots from the 80's book appeared to be around us in that area. We both fired away with glass fists. 'These are for our retirement' I said, already thinking of another publication 20 years from now.
The laptop was pulled out in Pitcher and Piano and we went through the final picture selection on-screen. It was great to be able to do this with ease. Later we moved on to the Canalside bar for food and then into town for the record shops - such indulgence!
In the evening I sat outside with the computer, converting, cropping and renaming scans from the various chapters of the book, and later, Clare and Hannah joined me for a late night barbeque.
It's been a long day, and I'm not sure if I can keep my eyes open much longer?
