Blogging Hell!Apparently, a recent software update on the
Blogger server meant that a few of my posts failed to appear on Dreamtargets. I've since updated the page template, so hopefully, things will be back to normal now...

ParisJust back from a five day Paris trip, providing a little Autumnal boost - blue skies, warm temperatures and cafe culture. Strange to be using Euros in France. Took lots of digital pics, maybe I will get time to post them on DT?
Apple Xpo
There were lots of Apple Macintosh posters everywhere on the Metro and suchlike, following the Apple Xpo which ended as our Easyjet 747 touched-down at Charles De Gaulle Airport. Clare and I had great time just soaking up the atmosphere of this great city. It was very relaxed and in sharp contrast to the few days leading up to the trip, which were hectic to say the least.
Billy Gaspedal
We almost missed the plane to Paris, due to heavy traffic on the M1 on Saturday afternoon, and I had to really put my foot down to reach Luton Airport in time. Fortunately we were travelling South, the Northbound carriageway being blocked at Leicester Forest East by emergency vehicles, resulting in a 20 mile tailback. The Police kept a lid on the incident, but we later heard that it was something to do with a suicide on a motorway bridge.
Cellphone
Paris is mobile phone crazy now. Very different to our last trip in 2000. I guess it's easier to roam through Europe now, hopping through one network to another. Our phones worked perfectly, so we could maintain close contact with Hannah, Daisy and Gilbert, throughout. This time we didn't really do any big gallery stuff, prefering to stay outdoors, making the most of the good weather. We ate alot, drank alot and watched the world go by.
Birmingham
Coming back to the UK was a bit of a shock, greeted by that murky grey cloud. And the thought of manning an exhibition stand at the NEC, Birmingham in less than 24 hours time was thoroughly depressing.
Nottingham in the 1980s
At home, a solitary email from Riff informed me that the book proofs have arrived, so we arranged to meet in the evening to go through stuff. Riff is away in Ireland from Thursday, so we had no choice but to go through all the alterations/corrections straight away. It was weird to see the pics matched up with the type. There weren't many mistakes really and I think the production department at Tempus Publishing have done a great job.
