The Flightstats website displays information on flights from the worlds major airports and uses on-screen QR-Codes to put live flight times directly on your phone.
I used Empedia’s built-in QR reader to ‘snap’ the code on my iPhone of course. It works great and I can refresh my mobile browser to check whether my daughter’s flight from Barcelona is on time.
Flightstats have produced a neat little YouTube video which explains how their mobile flight status solution works. They estimate the QR-code user base as being 150 million plus mobile phones.
