Billy
Gaspedal's Drive-thru
Fast food outlets, transport cafes, take-aways and
motorway services are important pit stops for the
seasoned traveller. So sit down with a cup of shit-brown
tea and lets share some culinary tales.

Nature's
Rad-Weld
When
Billy was touring clubland as a semi-professional
drummer, their hired Transit vans often had leaky
radiators. One solution was to crack an egg into the
radiator, so that when it got hot, it cooked the egg
and sealed the hole. Once
sealed, band members would take turns, standing on
the front bumper [fender] so they could piss in the
radiator hole to top it up!

What's
in that food?

Take-away
curry
Billy
always carried a complete dinner service in the boot
[trunk] of his Ford Sierra,
because his Dad wouldn't allow him to take curry into
the house. Billy and friends could often be seen tucking
into Indian take-aways on china plates in the Co-op
car park in Carlton, Nottingham. He also kept a bottle
of Encona Chilli Sauce in his glove box for emergencies,
so that he could transform chip-shop pies into instant
soul-food.
