Nottingham Art Students from 1981 - Reunited September 2002

These are the students of 1981-83. Though Chris and I left the course in 1980, we still went back to Clarendon to visit our old lecturers or just to check out the new talent. When we'd had enough of the intellectual bulshit of Liverpool and Leeds, we'd turn up on college trips to London and stuff, looking serious, moody and intent on mischief. 1981 was a peculiar watershed in this respect and spawned an angst ridden piece of writing entitled 'A Dancing Life - you must learn'.

This reunion was sparked off by Paul Wheat's return to the UK after nine years in Australia. We had alot of time for Wheaty and his mates, because of their anti-establishment streak. So it was fantastic when we found him on the web. And when former love interests Melanie and Min joined the email network, how could we not make the effort to feed our morbid curiosity, and see how we'd all fared after more than twenty years!
