Punk on Angel Row, 1984.

Just beyond the phone box is the Odeon cinema, which opened in 1933 on the site of Croshaw’s confectioners and closed in January 2001.

On the left is a large clock belonging to Perry’s jewellers, and the Homecharm wallpaper shop. A visit to the cinema in 1985 cost just £1.99.
