Like the meticulously carved animals outside The Dog and Bear pub, and the stone fox, which adorns The Fox on Parliament Street, this sign is a stonemason’s masterpiece.

Later on in the decade, the Bodega was renamed Cairo’s, Rosie ‘O’ Briens, and now lives on as The Social.
