Formerly the ‘Heart of the Midlands’ and the ‘Big Heart’, this club opened in 1980, and has seen many famous names, including INXS, U2, Guns N Roses, Duran Duran, David Bowie and Marillion grace its stage.

On 21 March 1983, a little known Scottish band called Aztec Camera, played to just a handful of people, and returned in 1988 to a full house.
