Queen’s Hotel, Arkwright Street, 1988.

This public house is situated next to Midland Railway Station, and marks the entrance to the Meadows, an area of Nottingham radically reshaped by clearance programmes of the 1970s.

In 1981 the licensees were Sid and Hazel Light, who served-up traditional Nottingham delicacies such as ‘Goose Fair Peas’.
