Interior view of Victoria Bus Station, 1982.

Buses travelling north of Nottingham such as the 141 to Mansfield and Clay Cross, departed in a cloud of diesel smoke from this giant hangar.

The structure also contained a snack bar, a National Travel booking office and newspaper stall.

The bus station was relocated to York Street in 1997, to accommodate further expansion of the Victoria Shopping Centre and construction of a new multi-storey car park in the former Victoria Station railway cutting.
