Co-op date plaque, Parliament Street, 1988.

This building was erected on land formerly occupied by inventor James Hargreaves and the Playhouse Music Hall. Since its closure in April 2001, its future remains uncertain, and its black and gold Art Deco lacquered staircases now remain hidden behind boarded-up windows.
