‘Old Angel’ public house, Stoney Street, 1982.

There has been a pub on this site since 1676 and it is said that Dick Turpin once stayed here.

A popular jeans shop ‘Jeff’s’ is represented here on the far corner, which was formerly Jack Brittons fruit shop.

In 1982, £6.99 would have bought a fine pair of Wrangler jeans.
