Family outing, Old Market Square, 1982.

The Portland stonework in the distance belongs to the Council House rumoured to be left over from Wren’s construction of St.Paul’s Cathedral.

The spray from the Market Square fountains can be seen on the left, often turned into a foam blizzard by over-zealous students during Rag Week, after the addition of washing-up-liquid.
