As a successful computer solutions supplier in professional audio, video and multimedia, the emerging market for web-development tools and services represented a potential business opportunity for computer reseller; Jigsaw Systems.

I joined Jigsaw in 1998 to help set up an online store, develop strategic alliances with multimedia suppliers and explore the potential for a Jigsaw-branded internet dial-up service.

			Jigsaw Online Whilst aspirations as an ISP were dashed by the launch of the Dixon Group's free-internet service (Freeserve), Jigsaw's pioneering eCommerce venture revealed the internet as a viable sales channel. Ranked among Yell.com's top ten 'best new' websites of 1998, the site made effective use of analytics to understand the behaviour of the first generation of internet-shoppers. Secure hosting for Jigsaw Online was outsourced to Headland - who were also gaining valuable eCommerce experience with their award winning British Magazine Group website.

			Rufford Ceramics Centre Headland commisioned Jigsaw to produce the 360º QuickTime Movie component for the Lottery-funded interactive touch-screen installation at Rufford Country Park. The movies were also incorporated into the Rufford website - rated by Yell.com as one of the top three 'most innovative' websites of 1999. I joined Headland shortly after the Rufford collaboration.
